Discovery Graduates works with forward-thinking organisations, like yours, to deliver structured pathways to graduate development. Our graduate development scheme, The OPEN Programme, offers your company a specialised, highly-focused development programme for graduate employees.

Some of the larger organisations we work with have their own graduate development programmes, dedicating large teams of staff to specialist graduate training. But for many companies, an in-house development scheme is not a viable option, whether due to company size, structure, industry or a lack of resources.
What is the OPEN Programme?
The OPEN Programme supports graduates in their transition from academia to working life, equipping them with the skills, and encouraging the behaviours that their employers most value.
The OPEN Programme is delivered by our sister company, Discovery Performance, which is an approved Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Centre. Candidates who complete the programme are awarded a Level 3 Certificate by the ILM.
According to a recent CIPD report, only 13% of employers feel that schools, colleges and Universities are very good or good at equipping students with the skills their organisation needs.

The OPEN Programme is designed to be challenging, exciting and rewarding for graduates, pushing their development right from the very start of their careers. With an emphasis on self-development, accountability and delivering results, the programme develops key business and personal skills, including:

Graduates are enrolled on the programme alongside graduates from other organisations, and in small groups they work together to develop the skills they need to become valuable employees. Working in partnership with specialist training companies, we teach graduates skills they can start to use in their jobs straight away, making a real impact.
